A b o u t   U s     

The Soy Shoppe evolved from my love of soy candles; and a desire to make my
home healthier and more environmentally friendly. At the time there were no
retail outlets of natural soy candles near my home town of Morgantown, West
Virginia, so a friend and I decided to start making them for ourselves. It wasn't
long before our friends and family were asking us to make soy candles for them.
As we did, we noticed that natural soy candles were a hit with many people. We
realized there could be profit in our "little hobby" and, being university students,
we always needed money! So, we decided to start promoting and selling our
natural soy candles locally.

We actually began in the fall of 2005, melting wax and hand pouring the candles
in my parents' basement. Just by word-of-mouth the popularity of and demand
for our candles soared beyond our expectations. Soon we had a thriving small
business on our hands. Since the Fall of 2006, I have been working on my own
with the help of friends and family making, selling and distributing soy candles. I
have always taken pride in the fact that the candles have a long lasting fragrance
and are a high quality while remaining affordable. In order to maintain the
natural quality of the candles, I use no dyes, lead free wicks only, and a
combination of essential and fragrance oils in the making of the soy candles.

This past Summer The Soy Shoppe launched a new line of produtcts in the Bath
& Body market.   Bath Salts, and Bath Teas were introduced in June and have
became customer favorites.  In the coming months, natural soaps, and lotions will
will be available at The Soy Shoppe, and will be available online shortly there
after.

The Soy Shoppe is an ever changing an growing business that promotes a natural
and eco-friendly lifestyle through our products and recylcling Program.
